Join the Review Process for the Amazon Assessment Report 2025 (AR2025)
The Science Panel for the Amazon (SPA) invites you to be part of the review process for its upcoming major report: the Amazon Assessment Report 2025 (AR2025). This will be the SPA’s key scientific contribution to COP30 and the Amazon’s future.
Deadline to submit your review: August 4, 2025
The AR2025 highlights the multiple dimensions of Amazonian connectivity, exposing its benefits for the region and the world. Each chapter explores what we gain from maintaining this connectivity, and what we risk losing when it is broken. The report also proposes calls to action and solutions to conserve and restore connectivity, for a more sustainable future and the conservation of the largest tropical forest on Earth.
We are now calling for expert, constructive feedback to strengthen the scientific foundation of this report.
Review Guidelines
To take part in this public consultation, we kindly ask you to download and follow the instructions outlined in our Review Guidelines document, which contains all the necessary steps to provide your feedback. As part of this process, you will be required to use an Excel review file to submit your comments. You may choose to review one or more chapters—all of which are available at the end of this page.
Please note that all review materials are confidential and intended solely for this consultation process. We kindly ask all reviewers to respect the confidentiality guidelines outlined in the Review Guidelines document.
Review Spreadsheet
To begin, please download the Excel review file and rename it using your full name and the chapter you are reviewing (for example: FedericoViscarraChapter1). Then, download the corresponding chapter(s), complete the personal information sheet and the review sheet within the Excel file, and submit your comments by August 4, 2025 to: spasouthamerica@unsdsn.org.
