Ms. Beka Munduruku

Beka Munduruku, a 22-year-old Indigenous leader from the Munduruku people, near the Tapajós River in Brazil, is the Special Representative of the SPA’s Strategic Committee in the YAC. From a young age, she stood out for her defense of her territory and the fight for its demarcation. A founding member of the audiovisual group Munduruku, created in 2014 by young women, she uses images and traditional narratives to preserve the history and sacred sites of her people, promoting environmental awareness.
