The Amazon We Want
Conversations for The Amazon We Want is a podcast by the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the Science Panel for the Amazon (SPA), featuring intergenerational dialogues between. In each episode, a YAC member interviews a SPA expert, offering a personal and accessible look into the lives and work of those studying and conserving the Amazon. Blending science with storytelling, the podcast aims to inspire and inform, especially young people, and foster deeper connections with the region and the urgent need to conserve it.
Episodes are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Syllabus
This course, offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, provides an overview of the state of the Amazon’s ecosystems, current trends, threats and impacts, and how they will affect the long-term well-being of the region. After learning about what is putting the ecosystems and communities of the Amazon in danger, learners will explore key opportunities for conservation and sustainable development to protect the region for current and future generations.
