Gustavo Nascimento is a student of Environmental Studies and Anthropology at Brandeis University in the United States, with a strong commitment to environmental and social justice. He has worked with the Children and Youth Major Group and served on the UNEP Global Steering Committee, advocating for youth leadership in global environmental policy. His research focuses on the Rights of Nature legal movement and sustainable development projects in Latin America aimed at promoting cultural continuity and environmental protection. Gustavo is also a member of the Youth Advisory Committee for the Science Panel for the Amazon, a participant in the "Pathway to Democratizing the Future: Youth for Climate Action – Third Edition" program by the organization Life of Pachamama, and a member of the IPCC Youth Expert Working Group for the Climate and Cities Report.
