Meset Fernando Mashingashi Unkuch is an Ecuadorian researcher and journalist, born in Gualaquiza. He studied Social Communication at the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, where he excelled in research and student publications. He developed an innovative model of media literacy for the Intercultural Bilingual Education System in Ecuador, aimed at improving the academic performance of Shuar children in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Committed to environmental conservation and cultural preservation, Meset works with the UNSA Corporation, promoting interculturality, entrepreneurship and environmental protection. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in "Communication and Public Opinion" at FLACSO Ecuador. His work reflects a firm commitment to his cultural heritage as part of the Shuar community, and the sustainability of the Amazon.
